The Girl Who Was on Fire: Your Favorite Authors on Suzanne Collins’ Hunger Games Trilogy is a collection of really well-done and smart essays on the popular young-adult book series.
A few interesting topics explored in The Girl Who Was on Fire: a close look at the media and how truth and propaganda can mutually exist, the (destructive) patterns of decadence and overindulgence in society, and why we should pay less attention to Katniss’ love triangle and more to Katniss herself. Plus, so much more.
Contributors to The Girl Who Was on Fire include: Jennifer Lynn Barnes, Mary Borsellino, Sarah Rees Brennan, Terri Clark, Bree Despain, Adrienne Kress, Cara Lockwood, Elizabeth M. Rees, Carrie Ryan, Ned Vizzini, Lili Wilkinson, Blythe Woolston, and Sarah Darer Littman.
The anthology is published by Smart Pop Books. (Twitter: @smartpopbooks )
The book will be released this spring but you may now pre-order a copy from Amazon.

This looks really good! I can’t wait to read it. Thanks for sharing!
I love that this is the kind of series that people can have intelligent discussions about that challenges us and our world.
I especially loved this:
“why we should pay less attention to Katniss’ love triangle and more to Katniss herself.”
Great add, because there is so much more to this series than “Team So-in-So” and “Team Someone Else”. That’s like the last aspect of the books. lol.
I am going to have to buy this book! It can’t be missing from my collection!
