Dayo Okeniyi and Amandla Stenberg Cast as Thresh and Rue in The Hunger Games Movie
According to EW, Lionsgate has confirmed that Dayo Okeniyi and Amandla Stenberg as Thresh and Rue in The Hunger Games movie.
Okeniyi, playing the intimidatingly strong tribute, has appeared in a short called Eyes to See and an upcoming horror film, Slew Hampshire. Stenberg, who is on board as Katniss’ arena ally Rue, has roles in the September’s Colombiana and the telefilm Taste of Romance.
The official Facebook page of The Hunger Games movie added a “Who are the Tributes?” tab, where you can check the official cast.

I loveeeeee the Hunger Games!!! Best movie I’ve seen in a long time and whoever chose the cast, you did awesome because one, I love how you chose Josh Hutcherson for the role of Peeta and Jessica Lawrence for Katniss. It’s perfect! And Rue and Thresh were like my favorites. Except Peeta haha I love him! But if you guys could, email me and you guys should totally come down to Indianapolis, IN and like do an interview or signing pictures thing because you guys are amazing!!!! And by the way, Amanda, you did an amazing job playing Rue and don’t anybody tell you otherwise!(:
