My favourite scene in The Hunger Games was when Peeta and Katniss were in the district parade because I really like Katniss’ hairstyle and coal costume.
All of the scenes are great. It’s hard to pick. But I guess I like the cave scene and Rue’s death… Those give me the giddy feeling and goosebumps..
I don’t know which one to choose from!!!!!! there were so many that were amazing!!!!!!! but if i had to choose it would be the scene where katniss and peeta were in the cave, you felt the love and compassion between them in that scene!!! i wold love to win this book.
Even though I loved every single scene, I’d say the reaping because it shows a very clear description about the main characters. First, because it shows us how brave, strong and confident Katniss is and how she would sacrifice anything to keep the ones she loves safe. We can see Gale in that scene too and even though Katniss will have to do this all by herself she knows that she has a friend, so she’s never really alone. And by the look of his eyes, we can see how much he cares about her. When it comes to Peeta, when they read his name he literally died and just by these few seconds we could figure out that Peeta is real, that he did not want this and that he’s not afraid to show his feelings. Lastly, because it makes a statement that power can often corrupt the best of people (when they showed the video of Capitol).
I love all the scenes, but I really like the Rue scene even though it was sad.
I loved the scene with Rue, when Katniss sung to her and covered her in flowers, and then did the 3 finger signal thing and the whole of District 11 did it back; I cried at that bit<3
Of course the whole film was incredible, but, if i had to decide which scene was my favorite, I would have to say it was the reaping scene. That scene makes me cry sooooooooo much because of all the love, fear and hurt that is displayed. When the scene begins you feel so awful for these people who need to partipate in this sick lottery. You feel soo much hate toward the Capitol people and you feel as if you would just start the rebellion right there. And then there is the 1 in 7000 chance that Prim is selected. When I first read that moment I was as flaberghasted as Katniss. You can see how much, much, much Katniss loves her sister and would do absolutely anything for her. It is so hearbreaking when Prim doesnt want to go in the games but she screams when Katniss vouleenteers for her);. Jennifer Lawerences and Josh Hutersons acting is amazingggggggggg. You can see how perfectly she displays Katnisses love for her sister…heartbreaking beautiful. You also see Katniss’s and Gales realtionship. They truly are the best of friends, we the intention to be initally ..more:P. And last but not least you see Peeta. Beautfil Beautiful Peeta/Josh. Georgeous even when he cries. THIS IS THE MOMMENT THAT IS DESTINED TO HAPPEN!<3 the second meeting after he saved her life<3. In her eyes you can see how much she wishes he wasnt there because of how much she is already indebted to him, now with the addition of having to fight to the death. And again, the most insenstive words that come from Effies mouth…starting to Rebel already. And finally when their eyes meet….you see how much he loves her ..since the age of ( 5)!!!. Katniss's eyes display a different emotion. Her eyes say, I wish this was a dream… but, some dreams are too good to come true. She wishes that he was anyone else and he only wishes to save her.<3<3<3<3<3<3<3. This whole scene portrays a sick psychological warefare. BUT I LOVE IT BECAUSE PEOPLE CAN BE THAT CRUEL!.!!!!. I cant say that enough. The realism incorporated within the film leaves you wanting more. The possibility of your whole life deteriorating before you eyes is so realatable. Thats why is appeals to so many age groups. Its a story of surviving the most unbearable of situations. A combination of phsychological and well as physical warefare. Katniss Everdeen is a role model for all young women out there. Iam so glad that other people are getting the message sent by these books. It is that our society, itself, is becoming more violent and cruel. A fight for a new, fair and improved society is what essentially the message is. Again I would love love love to win this book!<3The realism in the scene, the love displayed from the people in District 12! the LEFT hand 3 finger salute<3<3<3<3<3 AMAZING!
I WOULD LOVE LOVE LOVE TO WIN THIS BOOK<3 SUZANNANE AND GARY ARE BOTH AMAZING..THE ACTING IS BREATHTAKING..THEREFORE,…MAY THE ODDS BE EVER IN YOUR FAVOR!<3<3<3. THANKS<3
I loved the scene where Senecca Crane was locked in the room with a clear dish of night lock berries. There were no words used, but we knew what he was expected to do, its a very beautiful scene, and such an intelligent way to kill off a character.
i love katniss dress during the interview.
my favorite part is when peeta confesses his love for katniss
i love peeta
hate when he gets hijacked (sniff sniff)
I liked all the. Scences but my favorite would have to be the interviews and the cave scence. I liked the interviews because i love when peeta confeses and i love katniss dress. I liked the cave scence because it showed the real romance between katniss and peeta and it showed that they cared for each other.
I LOVE ANY SCENCE WITH PEETA IN IT!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE HIM! HE IS THE BEST ACTOR IN THE WORLD! I LOVE YOU PEETA!!!!
I liked all of the scene but the scene that would have to be my favorite is the scene with the interview with Ceaser Flickman. This is my favorite scene because it was very lively and when Katniss spun with her dress… it was absolutely STUNNING.
“I volunteer! I volunteer as tribute.” These words may appear simple, but these words opened our eyes to the real meaning of the Hunger Games.
My favorite part was the reaping scene. The reaping scene had shown a lot of emotions. But the main emotions I have felt, were sadness, anger, hopelessness and empowerment. SADNESS, because Katniss, as a loving sister, had to sacrifice herself for her younger sibling. It was clearly shown that she had done it out of her unconditional love to her sister despite it could lead to her own death and bereavement. Sadness was clearly seen in her eyes, that really imposed to the viewers her affection and compassion, her confidence and heroism for the sake of her loved one. ANGER, because chosen as a tribute isn’t simply a tough job. It is a merciless role. Even before entering the arena, one of Katniss’ legs is already buried deep down the ground. Thinking that the tributes need to kill each other to continue living, just for the entertainment of the Capitol. HOPELESSNESS, because Katniss obviously had no idea on what to do. She doesn’t know what would happen to her inside the arena, nor will she live and continue her life with her family. Evident in her face that she really was hopeless that time. Hopeless in a sense that she already entrusted her family to Gale for him to keep them safe, because she already lost hope if she would still come back to them, alive and conscious. And lastly, EMPOWERMENT. Despite the negativity of her emotions, there still remained inside her bits of small chances, tiny pieces of courage and bravery. She wasn’t completely eaten by her fear, but instead she kept something inside her burning, and that is the will to STAY ALIVE. To stay alive for Prim, for Gale, for her mom, and for all the people who need, love, and care for her. On the other hand, it also had given her the first chance to meet the soon-to-be man of her life. Her co-tribute, Peeta Mellark. That first close encounter gave her the valor, the valor of pursuing her initial and small scheme, of stopping the ruthless endeavor of the Capitol.
The reaping scene may just be a short part of the movie, but it has a long contribution into it. It started Katniss’ journey into being a new person, a more significant being, a tougher persona, the face of rebellion, the girl on fire, and finally, into being, the MOCKINGJAY.
I hope you would like my answer.
And sorry for reposting it, something wrong happened to the first one I posted.
Uhmm, well hard to choose But i guess if i had to choose one it’d be the one where Katniss and Gale are sitting out in the meadow
The whole movie is just perfect, I love it *-*
My Favorite scene is the one when Prim gets picked because it shows how Katniss loves her sister deeply and how brave Katniss is.
My favorite scene is the part where Katniss places flowers around Rue when she died!
CAVE SCENE<3
But the part where Katniss thought Peeta was dead when she heard the cannon and she ran back and yelled at him because he didn't know it was nightlock… perfect. It was so real… exactly as I pictured it in the book. Amazing acting. Simply amazing. I was so moved.
Every scene with Josh Hutcherson. Kinda disappointed she didn't strip him down to his underwear when she found him by the stream… c'mon, gotta at least stick to the book there!
Love the moment with her and Cinna where he tells her cant bet but if he could he would bet on her:)
Even though every single scene was absolutely amazingly incredible, I have to say I have a soft spot for romance so the cave scene was the most memorable. Josh and Jennifer were the perfect Peeta and Katniss, honestly I didn’t think they could pull it off, but now I can’t think of anyone better. And that scene, that cave scene was really something special.
I can’t wait for the Finnick scenes in Catching Fire
I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THE WHOLE ENTIRE MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But my favorite scene would have to be the chariot scene because I love the fire and the black suits katniss and peeta wear and how they hold their hands high!!!!!!!!!!!! I also like this scene because katniss and peeta r the center of attention!!!!!!!!!

I loved and was deeply touched by the scene with Rue, when Katniss sung to her and covered her in flowers, and then did the 3 finger signal thing and the whole of District 11 did it back.
Kudos to all the casts and crews in this production!

My favorite scene is as follows:
The part where they said two winners. Changed their minds when Peeta and Katniss were about to eat the berries. Oh sweet. I loved that part. It just shows that our lives are in our own hands and belong to nobody else.
There are a lot of scenes to choose from, but my favorite scene is the cave scene. Both the book and the movie did a good job at making it such an interesting part.I liked the stories that Katniss and Peeta shared and the actions they did to show their love for each other (even if it was just for the camera). It was touching, sweet, and moving.
I’m a huge fan of the Hunger Games. thank you!
I really hope you choose me as the winner. It’s my birthday on Tuesday and this would be an awesome gift.
It happened so fast, like, just 3 seconds.
At one moment, she was hugging Rue, relieved that she came just in time to free her from the trap, and then, another second came by, and she lost her…
…just a second too late.
Blood has flowed. Flowers were picked. Goodbye was said. Compassion was marked.
And like some people would have it: All is fair in love and war…
…but Rue’s death…it was definitely not.
This scene was not all about killing. It was not about winning. It wasn’t even about surviving.
It was all about love.
Love. Yes, LOVE. I love this scene because it was the highest point of emotions. In it, everything was shown. Love. Hate. Betrayal. Sacrifices. HOPE. It wasn’t about how strong Katniss was. It was all about her capacity to love. And I believe love is the greatest of all.
I do not wish to make this a very long post. I’m afraid I might bore you(Hope I didn’t!). Now that I have shared my passion for the series, I have nothing more to ask but I hope you pick me.
P.S.

Thank you, thank you very much and Happy Hunger Games! <3
my favorite scene in The Hunger Games was when the entire population of District 11 raised their three finger salute to Katniss. It was the culmination and climax of Rue’s death, and i cried like a baby when i saw it, because it just goes to show that no matter how hard life is, people can still love one another unconditionally, like the people from District 11, and like Katniss, did Rue. <3
I love The Hunger Games overall!!
For my favorite part, it would be when Katniss finds Peeta and they spend time together in the cave taking care of each other!! It’s so sweet and touching!!! :3
Katniss <3 Peeta !!!!!
I love the whole film, but one of my favourite scenes has to be when the young girl from one of the less well-known districts (7? 6? 5?) has made the mistake of starting a fire. She thinks she’s all alone but then she looks over her shoulder, sees the Career Pack and has a moment of “OH FRICK THAT’S NOT GOOD”.
I love the whole movie, it was really amazing though they removed some parts of the book like Madge wasn’t there, but still especially Josh Hutcherson is Peeta, he’s my celb crush since I was a kid. Anyway, my most favorite scenes are when Katniss and Peeta were already in the Capitol from the Opening Ceremony to the interviews and the part when Katniss said ‘You scared me to death! Damn you!’
Can’t wait for Catching Fire!
My absolute favourite scene was Peeta’s interview. I think Josh Hutcherson did a fabulous job on acting that part, and confessing his love for katniss. That was the best scene ever.
The whole movie is awesome!!

My favorite scene from the movie was Katniss and Gale in the woods because Katniss could be herself for once instead of pretending to be star crossed loves with Peeta and someone she never wanted to be fighting in the games. The woods symbolize a lot in the movie and Katniss sings to Rue about the meadow when she dies.
