Zap2it: The Hunger Games: Catching Fire Has No Short List for Finnick Yet

It was previously reported by EOnline that their source revealed to them that Taylor Kitsch, Armie Hammer and Garrett Hedlund are top contenders for the role of Finnick Odair in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.

However, according to Zap2it, there’s no short list yet for the role.

Zap2it’s source says nobody’s in the lead just yet considering talks only began on Tuesday (May 29). Actors are still reading for the role, and the studio is strongly considering bringing in an unknown to avoid ego clashes on set.

The scenes the actors are reportedly reading for the role include the sugar cube scene where Finnick first meets Katniss and the scene where he hears Annie’s scream.

I want zac efron to be finnick. Finnick is supposed to be like, a macho person. All of the above aren’t exactly macho

  2. Kaylee L says:

Im soooo glad that they will have the sugar cube scene!!

  3. Jezreel says:

    garrett hedlund

  4. Gia says:

omg omg!! i read catching fire right after i saw Tron and I kept imaging Garret as Finnick

  5. Gia says:

PLEASE LET IT BE GARRET!!!!!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!!!

  6. Ali says:

REALLY?!?!?! WOW!!! Poor choices!!! Why would anyone cast that Arnie Hammer as someone who is suppose to be buff and not just good looking but HOT?! The other two guys are ok… But do the people who are doing the casting, even read the books??!?!?!?!?!! This is so disappointing!!! HEre is his discription:
Physically, he is described as being extremely handsome. He is tall, muscular, and athletic, with tan skin, bronze-colored hair, and “incredible” sea green eyes, making him very popular with people in the Capitol.
Katniss says that Finnick never needed to do anything for sponsors, and that no other tribute could overcome his “natural beauty”.

Can we please have rumors of AMAZING LOOKING GUYS?!
Like Zac Efron?? Amazing eyes, Strong Build, Tan, and the right age! OR Chris Hemsworth?! LOL- Thats just because I HUGE fan of Chris Hemworth! LOL

  7. Garret should finnick…I actually image him sort of to be like that

  8. raquel says:

    i better be garret!!!!!!!!!!

  9. Lexia A says:

I still say Hunter Parrish should get the role, but whatever. Their casting choices have disappointed me before…

  10. Hannah says:

  11. Gia Trapani says:

I also agree with Hannah! I love Joey and Joey loves Finnick! He is my 2nd place choice.
Ali, you are just pissing me off. When ever I think of Zack I think of High School Musical >:p. NO ZACK EFRON!!!!! The other actors can dye their hair and get buf like Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hensworth did. And I don’t like the idea of Chris and Liam in the same movie. Talk about awkward!!! The Trapani has spoken!! ;)

  12. Lola Martinez says:

Garrett is a terrible choice sorry i love tron. armie hammer is the best out of those three. Alex pettyfer all the way.He is ypung and very attractive and he has pretty eyes. He’s acting could use a little improvement, but the movie is set for like November or something. Zac Efron would ruin the image ofthe Hunger Games considering i still remember him asthe High School Musical kid…I hated High School Musical. But none of those choices are hot not even Hunter Parish is hot enough for the Finnick image. come on people raise ypur standards. Don’t get me wrong i love all those actors though.

  13. Lola Martinez says:

oh..and forgot to mention the Finick persona. Who has that? Keep your eyes open… Like Taylor Swift lol
