There has been multiple reports that Philip Seymour Hoffman has been offered to play Plutarch Heavensbee in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.

Philip Seymour Hoffmanreceived an official offer to play Plutarch Heavensbee inCatching Fire, Lionsgate’s sequel to The Hunger Games,The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.

Hoffman’s name had circled the role for several weeks, but an offer formally went out Monday, the same day the actor ended his 18-year association with his agency, Paradigm.

It is also being reported that Lionsgate is eyeing to start filming the the Hunger Games sequel in September.
