According to Citizen-Times, Asheville Cinema Festival 2012, which will be held from November 1 to 4, will open with Silver Linings Playbook, starring Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper.
“This will be the North Carolina premiere,” said Wyman Tannehill, the festival’s executive director. “As it stands now, it will be the third U.S. screening.”
Tannehill said he will extend a festival invitation to Lawrence, who starred in “The Hunger Games” which was filmed in Asheville. “The Hunger Games” sequel “Catching Fire” is now being filmed in Georgia. “We will make an effort” to bring her to the festival, he said.
Movie screenings will be at the Biltmore Grande, Asheville Community Theatre and the Masonic Temple. Tickets will go on sale in mid-October.
