The second movie in the Hunger Games series Catching Fire began filming in Hawaii earlier this week, and according to Hawaii News Now, it’s set to wrap on December 22, which is just a little less then 4 weeks away.
NORTH SHORE, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) – An almost guaranteed blockbuster has begun filming in Hawaii. Catching Fire, the much anticipated sequel in The Hunger Games trilogy, is shooting at several locations in the state between November 26 and December 22.
Back in September, Lionsgate’s press release for the Visit The Catching Fire Set Sweepstakes disclosed the information that it will complete filming in December.
The film will subsequently be shot on location in the beaches and jungles of Hawaii before wrapping in late December, 2012.
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is set to be released on November 22, 2013. Mockingjay Part one will be released November 21, 2014 and Part two will be released November 20, 2015.
