The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 Tops Fandango’s List of Most Anticipated Film of 2014

Based on Fandango‘s survey, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay part 1, which is expected to be released on November 21, 2014, has been named the most anticipated film of 2014.  Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence topped the list of Sexiest Woman in the Movies for this year. Her other movie, X-Men: Days of Future Past, also made it to the list of the most anticipated films.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is Nominated For People’s Choice Awards 2014 ‘Favorite Year End Movie’


The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is up against Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, Frozen, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, and Thor: The Dark World in  ‘Favorite Year End Movie’ category of People’s Choice Awards 2014 . The PCA’s will air on January 8, 2014 on CBS.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire Tops Fandango’s Most Anticipated Fall Movie Survey


Fandango, the nation’s leading moviegoer destination, recently revealed the results of its “Most Anticipated Fall Movie Survey.” The Hunger Games: Catching Fire grabbed the top spot among all films released between September and the end of November.

Here’s the result of the survey:

The Five Most Anticipated Fall Movies:

1. The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (11/22), winning with 28% of vote

2. Thor: The Dark World (11/8), 21%

3. Gravity (10/4), 15%

4. Ender’s Game (11/1), 4%

5. Carrie (10/18), 4%

Most Anticipated Male Performance of the Fall:

1. Chris Hemsworth: Thor: The Dark World, winning with 17% of vote

2. Leonardo Di Caprio: The Wolf of Wall Street, 13%

3. George Clooney: Gravity, 13%

4. Josh Hutcherson: Catching Fire, 12%

5. Liam Hemsworth: Catching Fire, 8%

Most Anticipated Female Performance of the Fall:

Hunger Games Nominated for iVillage Pop Culture Award: Class of 2013


Hunger Games has been nominated for the “Favorite Movie Clique” iVillage Pop Culture award. Jennifer Lawrence was also nominated for the BFF Category: “Girl You Want to Have Over for A Slumber Party”, and Liam Hemsworth was nominated in the Celeb Crush category: “Guy You’d Want to Make Out with Under the Bleachers.”
