How about the girl from Soul Surfer? She'd be good I think.
Emma Roberts? Hmmm..need to think that one through.
I would love for Penelope Cruiz to be Katniss, that would deffinitly be interesting!!
I think Mandy Moore would be kinda too nice to be Katniss..

Any thoughts on these 4?

When I first found out that Jennifer Lawrence was playing Katniss I didn't think she could do it. But she's doing very well. Does anyone else like her playing the part? I still think Anna Sophia Robb would be better. Wasn't she on The Bridge to Terribithia?

I read in an article online that Lyndsey Fonseca from Nikita on The CW auditioned and I honestly thought that she would be a good fit for Katniss. She can do a whole lot of stunts from filming for Nikita and she has that drive I think! But I'm sure Jennifer Lawrence was a good choice for Katniss!

Oh god what are you people trying to do? Annie Robb is way to nice and friendly looking abd penelope Cruz? Realy? Katniss everdean is 17 Penelope cruz is in her 40s I think Jennifer lawrense is perfect for katniss

I soooo wanted Lyndsy Fonseca to play Katniss! She would have been perfect just like Jennifer, maybe even a little better. But I didn't know Jennifer Lawrence back then so that why I wanted it to be Lyndsy. Jennifer is absolutely flawless as Katniss. I'm glad she got the role

I didn't see AnnaSophia playing Katniss. Yes, she is a little too young and I don't think she's had enough grown up roles for her to be seen as Katniss yet.

I think Jennifer Lawrence is the perfect cast for Katniss Everdeen, all the other actresses have some blemishes
