I honestly find both books are worlds apart. I don't see how they can be compared at all. I'm not defending Twilight, I can't stand that series myself, I just find it hard to compare both as though they're from the same universe. That being said, it could also be my ego talking because it refuses to believe anything can be related to Twilight. Still, I'll play along haha!
1. Hunger Games is MUCH better written. I tried reading Twilight to see what the fuss was about and I couldn't believe have badly written Twilight was. I actually got to reading Hunger Games for the same reason: wanting to see what the fuss was about. At first I didn't even want to read them because I was under the impression it was a blatant copy of Battle Royale. Now I'm glad I looked it up because now I can say that while some themes are similar, it isn't the same at all. Besides, if I hadn't fallen in love with HG, I wouldn't be here.

2. Let's
assume Peeta is a stalker like some people claim he is (he isn't, but let's play along). "I watched you walk from school everyday" is honestly not the end of the world. It's not like he broke into Katniss' house and watched her sleep, or you know, tried to keep her from seeing Gale... as Edward did with Bella? Nope, not creepy at ALL.
3. The intrigue is so much better. There's an actual story in Hunger Games and there are actual, important messages throughout the trilogy. Please name me the important, valuable messages of Twilight?
4. The characters feel real. There's a reason why Katniss feels the way she does: she's broken and hurt for many reasons that make SENSE. In Twilight, the characters get angsty for ridiculous and selfish reasons. And you easily feel emotionally attached to the characters in Hunger Games.
5. Uh... I don't have another reason. So I'll just go all fangirl on Josh and Peeta for the sake of it. LOL
