It isn't the first time I fell in love with a movie/book and I'm sure not the last time. But the other was a year ago and I still love that one. So I'm sure you will find me still here in a year :)

This is true, but i've never felt a book so deeply as this one - many good books that have haunted me but not like this. Maybe because i can relate to Peeta in a way that i can't to others. I'm str8 and not that it matter you're right but I know i have a more feminine side - I don't fight, i'm not into hunting or sports really, i'm more into my words and i could and i double knot my shoes (that one was eery). Any my gf - she hunts with her dad and brothers, she drive when we go places, she never cries (unlike me who is a major weeper) - just too much a like. Anyway no book has ever driven me to go on-line.

Can I ask, what was the other book that touched you a year ago?

What do you mean you love them all - all the characters? I agree - in one way or another all the people of Kat and Peeta's life and I miss them. Man is that weird but true.

Titanic - idk. I'm bad at guessing but I know it was costly and they just brought it back out. I do love to read too. I do like Katniss especially - and I like the way Peeta loves her, like he said to himself going into the games - they won't change who I am, my mom couldn't take that from me, my dad who watched me get beat could take that from me and the Capitol sure as hell isn't, I'm going to love her like love is suppose to be if its the last thing I do - and it very nearly was. I like that. To me it was a love story, and usually I don't read love stories - if you asked me my top ten books probably on the Great Gatsby was a love story - Book 1: Katniss discovers love. Book 2: a love triangle is created in the complications of love. Book 3: Katniss is in love with Peeta but can't have him (until the end). I guess I'm a sappy Romantic. Good thing my gf is more a Katniss - we're like ying and yang - which is why Katniss is special to me.

You are close with titanic, Same "maker" (lost the word in english, sorry ^^)

Ohh and mostly I hate love storys. I prefer action storys. But this was such a good love story with awesome action. How could it be anything better :)

Avatar? English isn't your first language? I wouldn't have guessed. I don't like love stories either - first one in a while . It couldn't have been better!

it is amazing how it has hit with some many guys, even the romance, when Harry Potter and Twlight did not. My gf got me to watch it because she said we were like Peeta and Katniss. Anyway, you notice all the other Greco/Roman references in the Capitol - like Cinna? The only reference I can find to Rome in the districts is Peeta's last name - the suffix Mel is Greek for sweet and Madge's name fearing to the Greek for Pearl.

In fact what I am referring to is the way that Gladiators were regarded in Ancient Rome and the horrors of the Collosium. Gladiators were often criminals or deserters who were forced to fight but some became heros and all the women loved them and rich women paid to be pleasured by them. Finnick?? But they had this strange dual status. in one aspect they were like gods but they were also regarded as slaves and of low status. In the arenas they would have hundreds of tigers and bears slaughter each other and then they would throw in a few people for the fun of it......

Yup - 40yr old male, married with kids. I've read the triology twice now. Why these books are labeled as "tween girl" material is beyond me. Mockingjay in particular is one of the darkest books I've ever read and leaves me just wrecked each time I read it.
