Should I see the movie?

Should I see the movie?

Postby SunshineGirl99 » Sat Jan 28, 2012 3:03 pm

Okay, I'm twelve, that's the first thing you should know. I have read ALL the Harry Potter books and seen ALL the movies. My mom is pretty strict on what we watch. She only let me watch the Harry Potter movies because I had read the books. I have also seen ALL the LOST tv shows(It's about a plain crash on an island) on netflix. They were really violent, but I had to look away at many points. I cannot watch twilight and won't be able to for a long time. It all depends if my mom thinks I'm mature enough. Books that are questionable or have some language in them, she has to read it first. My friend LOVES the hunger games books and thinks the're GREAT! But her mom lets her watch alot of things I can't. I really want to read the books as soon as possible, so I might be able to see the movie, do you think I'd be able to?

The movie was in the verge of being rated R and it merely got a PG13. It has fighting scenes. So my guess is that your mom wouldn't let you, sorry.

Maybe you could take it one step at a time. If your Mom would allow you to read the first book that would be a start. I read the first book in four days while also doing a lot of other stuff so it does not take too long to read it. Even if your mom was willing to read it first it would still not take too much time. I haven't seen the movie yet so I can't tell if you should see it or not. You do seem very mature in your email. Good luck!

Dang, your mom's being a bit harsh it looks like. At twelve, I had already watched some Rated R movies. But I guess your out of luck since your mom's a bit strict. Unless you have a friend that takes you. Or you could have your mom see it first, then she could tell you whether or not you could be able to see it. Just a thought ahaha. I do believe this movie is PG-13, not too violent, especially compared to some movies.

I´m 13 and I watched the movie. I think the basilisk-scene in the secnd Harry Potter film is worse than all the violent scenes in the Hunger Games. And the movie´s very good, so why not?
