Coin or Snow?

Postby mockingjay2217 » Wed Apr 11, 2012 6:41 pm

Who do you think is more suited to rule Panem, Coin or Snow.
Do you think that Katniss really should have killed Coin rather than President Snow?

Honestly I don't think either of them were suited to run Panem. I kept waiting for Katniss to become President herself after executing Coin.

I think SC made good choice in making Paylor the president.

Both were too ambitious for power.

Coin & Snow are two sides of the same coin (probably why the author chose the name "Coin"). Had Coin ruled, nothing would have changed for the districts. There would have been no freedom & no elections.
Killing Snow was for Panems past & ultimately pointless had Coin ruled. Killing Coin gave Panem a future.

Actually when I was reading and I was at the part when Katniss was going to execute Snow and she was worrying about the only 1 arrow... I knew exactly she will kill Coin instead of Snow. And of course she was right. At that pont I didn't even care about Snow because he was already dead for all of the people of Panem. He was just that sad sick old man without any power. But who would be better president... I have no idea I couldn't chose. Paylor was a good choice.

Neither. It was so much better when SC made Paylor the president.

Paylor is the better President because she was elected.

I don't think either were suited to rule Panem. But I felt sorry for Snow, at least he was honest the entire time. Unlike Coin.

I think Mockingjay, the third book, advocates skepticism to political systems in general.

An amazing concept to teach the target audience, teenagers.
They're already at work on "Catching Fire". WoooooooHOOOOOOOOOOO!
