What you thought of the book! spoilers

REALLY ? REALLY shayna? did you REALLY read the book or u are just joking? katniss says at the epiloge that she is not the person that she used to be ,that her children are playing at a graveyard ,that she wakes sceaming from freakin nightmares EVERY F****** DAY ,that they will never go away and that there are monents that Peeta cluches the back of a chair and hangs on until the flashbacks are over ! how is that happily ever after? how's that a fairytale?

Honestly I actually loved this book. I would of really liked for there to be more real peeta because he's so freaking adorable but him getting better really did show how the capital and the games really make everything pure and great (like peeta) turn to something deep and twisted. Now yo the ending. IT SUCKED! she wrote this great trilogy with so much feeling and realness, then she pretty much ends it with "they got older, and had kids" and that's all..... In general this was a great book except the ending. I wish she would write a short book talking about everyone. And what about the kids? Peeta and katniss's and finnick and molly's! Names?

I didn't hate mockingjay, but I didn't like it either. There were many parts that got me excited to read more but then towards the end I think everything when downhill. I LOVED that Peeta and Katniss ended up together, hated that Peeta had to deal with being hijacked, loved that they actually brought down the capitol, hated that Finnick and Prim died without any real reason at all, but loved that Katniss still lead the war. Idk how I felt about this book. So many things disappointed me and I was left wondering why some things happened the way they did but it was an okay book.

I know this is out there buy why did peeta need to be the one hijacked? I get the how idea of snow trying tk get to katniss but still. I didn't like that she took nearly everyone's favorite character because of his way of putting things In a way that is how things are but also are put in a good way. I think that the his treatments should of turned him back to the sweet caring person that everyone loves the old peeta could have helped katniss find herself again. Her condition is based on guilt and just how much blood she thinks is on her hands. I think most of het condition is her guilt of knowing that peeta will never be the same, because she thinks it's her fault.

it was just utterly depressing and sad and i had absolutely no sense of closure at the final page. she managed to write with such intensity for thg and cf,but mockingjay made me feel numb..

It should make you feel depressed and numb! The only reason Katniss starts her journey is to save Prim. When Prim dies, the main thing that motivates the entire series is destroyed. Katniss volunteers to save her sister, plays along with Snow i.e. snuggling with Peeta, to save her sister. Therefore Prim dying makes the death of every single person, which Katniss already feels bad about, in vain. That is seriously depressing

I can see why some people dislike Mockingjay mainly because it seems not to fit in with the first two but it was suppose to be different the rebellion had started and her role was crucial, and the scenes when she was with her squad going through the city reminded me of Black Hawk Down almost and like others have said war is war people die, people you may like, dislike, love etc its what happens and the part where she kills the woman in the bathroom reflects that gruesome as it may have been it happens. This book really captivated me I read tons of war novels and I am a history major so it struck really close to home, but ofc I love all of three of the books so to say one is better then other is not my cup of tea.

Guys its a dystopian book! That is a major theme in these kind of books along with a lot of others, just read 1984 or any other book equivalent to that or THG, and if you lived under a totalitarian government that Panem was wouldn't you want to rebel if you lived in District 12?
