Were the people who were cast as their characters what you pictured when reading the books?

I don't like the choice for Gale. Liam Hemsworth is much older than Gale. I'm not very convinced about Haymitch, but it may work. The one I hated the most is Snow. Beard and long hair? Not exactly what I expected for an evil president who gets plastic surgery.

They guy who plays Gale is hot.
Though, in my head, I imagined Peeta as Neville Longbottom from Harry Potter and not the Fox who they cast for him.
And they've got Cinna perfect.

Personally, I think Jennifer Lawrence is a little too plump for katniss. IMO katniss should be a lil skinnier than that. I mean, Jennifer is normal, but katniss should be skinnier than normal. But I don't dislike her, body size is just a minor point.
Never imagined Cinna to be a black, but Lenny Kavitz does have the look for it, haha.
To be honest, Gale should be better looking than liam hemsworth (no offence to his fans)
I think Amber Chaney looks a lil too old to be the Avox girl?
I think Rue and Haymitch is perfect! =D

It's just an adaption. My bigger concern is whether or not they can play the part.

I really like Katniss and Peeta, they are my favorite characters, so I was really happy when I found out that Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson were playing them.
I really like Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss. She was actually how I pictured her. I think she is an amazing actress, I'm so happy she got the part.
Josh Hutcherson plays a good Peeta, he was exactly how pictured him. He is such a great actor, I really like Josh. ts awesome how he devoted himself to this charcter. He had to gain 15 pounds of muscles, I thought that was really cool. Liam Hemsworth plays a good Gale, he looks the part.
I was not sure about Lenny Kravitz and Woody Harrelson as Cinna and Haymitch, but when I saw them as their characters and a clip in the trailers, they actually do a really good job as them. I love Cinna, so I wanted someone to portray him well and think Lenny Kravitz does.
I'm curious how they are going to the Capitol because what I saw in the Illstrauted book they did not look so outragous like how Katniss describe them, where they had cat features with wiskers and where some of her stylist dyed their skin or had gold tattoos. So I'm really curious how they are going to look, well I guess I will find out when I see the movie lol.
Donald Sutherland as President Snow looks exactly how I pictured him. He is the perfect Snow. Well done to the casting director for picking him, he looks so like him. \
Elizebeth Banks plays a good Effie, I actually did not recognize her, but I love her voice when she annouces Prim's name. She sounds high pictch and proper.

I'm really happy with the actors who are playing the characters. I can't wait to see the movie, I'm so excited.

I never pictured Cinna that way. So yea.

I also never pictured Snow that way too. I mean, I was actually disappointed. I wanted to see someone more evil-looking. I was thinking that the actor who did Lucius Malfoy in HP to be Snow because he had long white hair & he could easily portray Snow confidence together with his evilness.

I thought Katniss was perfect. So yea.

Eventhough, I am not glad with some of the cast. It's still alright.

I didn't expect Peeta's character but I'm not sure why. They did pick the perfect Katniss though.

I loved everyone. Especially after seeing them in the movie, it really made me love them all for different reasons. Jennifer Lawrence is flawless as Katniss, Josh Hutcherson was also a great pick for Peeta, and Liam is great as Gale. Donald Sutherland as President Snow is okay; it seems like that made him less of an enemy in the first one but we'll see in the other movies.
