Hunger Games Soundtrack

What are your favorite songs from the soundtrack and if you get any meaning from teh songs relating to the books or movie.

Abrahams Daughter by Arcade Fire is my first choice, just the lyrics to this song ring out Hunger Games even though I'm still searching for the meaning behind it.

Come Away To The Water by Maroon 5 is my next choice, this is just a great song and the lyrics are amazing, I could tell from the first verse that its about Katniss and then the rest of the song is basically about the careers.

Ooooooooh, goody! I have a funny story to tell before I say what my fav songs are. I went to the store to pick up a copy of the movie soundtrack (I love the musical score that James Newton Howard created for Panem) and accidentally picked up the Music from District 12. The particular store I purchased it from (which will remain nameless) put the two side by side setting me up for the fall since the covers are pretty darn close in looks. So I took my "prize" home popped it into the cd player and got the biggest shock of my life! I was angry at first cause I really wanted the musical score, but now that I have both cds, I actually like the Music from District 12 better! Who knew?

Anyways, now on to my favs!

I really like Kingdom Come by the Civil Wars, Nothing to Remember by Neko Case, Rules by Jayme Dee, but my all time fav is Just a Game by Birdy! It is so perfect for the whole trilogy, not just the movie!

What I like about this soundtrack is that each individual band made an original song for it, the music director even made them read the books so props to T-Bone for doing that, what I also like is that they all came up with their own sound of what music would be like 300 years into the future and have that District 12 sound its simply amazing.

I really love both Taylor Swift songs, but especially "Eyes Open." I also love Abrahams Daughters, Come Away to the Water, Kingdom Come and pretty much every other song on the album. Its probably the best movie soundtrack I've ever heard.

I to enjoyed the Taylor Swift songs, I'm not to big on country music but I did like the ones on this album by those artists.

a song that when ever i listen to it reminds me of the books is climb on board by labrinth, i think if you changed a few of the words it tells the story to a certain point, and the type of music i think for me relates to the book. of course this is my personal opinion because it is my type of music but, oh well.

I really liked Safe and Sound and Eyes Open. Also Abraham's Daughter and Tomorrow will be Kinder are good tracks too.

This is an amazing soundtrack. I liked Abraham's Daughter, it gets the "feel" of the movie just right. Come Away to the Water was nice, something different by Maroon 5. Loved both the Taylor Swift songs, I've had Eyes Open stuck in my head all week. From the musical score, Horn of Plenty sounds awesome, it always reminds me of the scene with the chariots.

I love Rue's Farewell on the Score. Wonderful song and I cry everytime I hear it.
