I don't think they're shooting quite that high. Did you see "Iron Lady"? I wasn't even sure I'd like that, I DID like her in "Mama Mia", but she does it, she weaves a spell. Meryl Streep is a magician as an actress, so I can't fault her. I've rooted against her plenty, but I can't dis her, either.

She was inspiring in "The Lady Wears Prada". Then she pissed off every fashionesta in town by wearing this earthmother looking turquiose ensemble. I fell out laughing for hours. But, she was sweet in "Stuck on You", and if you're old enough to remember her effect on the general psyche in "Sophie's Choice", then you know what she meant as she joked in her speech, "Oh, no, not HER. Again."

I was pleased to find out she had to sit down backstage, that Oscar was supposed to be Viola Davis', but she was attended by Colin Firth, who announced it. And the next day wrote a check to Viola's charity. They had some kind of bet going, cause you had to laugh at Meryl when she confides in the camera,"Viola's Mad at me." *shaking head*
I was thinking more along the lines of a tweet today, Nan Flanagan from "True Blood", or maybe Sigoruney Weaver. I could so see Sigourney Weaver. I think they'd even forgo her trademark silver pageboy, Coin, that is.
They're already at work on "Catching Fire". WoooooooHOOOOOOOOOOO!
