Amandla seems so lovely and it’s amazing that she’s so involved with lots of charities and seems to care so much about them. As for the whole African-American thing, I’m re-reading the books right now and Rue is clearly described on more than one occasion as having “brown skin”, so anyone who criticized Amandla’s casting is just idiotic in my opinion – she was perfect as Rue.
